Brushed Neon Nep Fingering is a fluffy, textured yarn with a soft halo and bright neon Donegal neps scattered throughout. And yes, the neon neps glow under UV light!
With fingering-weight yardage but a lofty, brushed construction, this yarn can be worked at a larger gauge to create a light, drapey fabric with the look and feel of a heavier yarn. Superfine alpaca adds softness and halo, while linen adds subtle texture and character. The neon neps do not absorb dye, so they stay bright and prominent against the hand-dyed fiber.
Try it on its own for lightweight sweaters, cardigans, shawls and accessories, or hold it together with another yarn to add softness, texture and an unexpected pop of neon.
I hand paint my yarn in small batches, and every skein is unique. No two skeins will knit up exactly the same. I do not guarantee a specific pattern will occur when you knit with my yarn or that a colorway will pool or not pool. That unpredictability is part of the fun of working with hand-dyed yarn!
Hand dyed in Florida with professional-grade acid dyes in my dog- and kitty-friendly, nonsmoking home. I wash and rinse the fiber after dyeing, but colors may bleed slightly on the first wash. While I do my best to describe and photograph colors accurately, colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
My yarn is ethically sourced, and you can be confident that the merino is mulesing-free.

Materials + Care
Hand washing in cool water with a gentle wool wash is recommended. While I thoroughly rinse every skein, some color bleeding may occur, particularly with highly saturated colors.
Hand-dyed skeins are unique, even within the same dye lot. For larger projects, I recommend alternating skeins every few rows to help blend natural variations in color. Always follow the care needs of your finished project and the specific fibers in your chosen yarn.

Because each skein is hand-dyed in small batches, all sales are final. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact me within 7 days of delivery so I can make it right.
